Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has underscored the ongoing efforts to bring an end to the conflict in Gaza and ensure the facilitation of aid delivery.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s media office released a statement following his meeting with Ahmed Samir, the Egyptian Ambassador to Iraq. The discussion focused on bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation based on previously signed memoranda of understanding and the outcomes of the Iraqi-Egyptian High Committee meetings. These efforts aim to bolster common interests and support partnership and economic integration across various sectors.

The meeting also addressed the current situation in Gaza, highlighting the continued violence and alleged acts of genocide and starvation by the occupying entity. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of ongoing efforts to halt the conflict and enable the delivery of relief aid to the affected Palestinian population.
