Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’a Al-Sudani emphasized that Nineveh possesses the essential components, including natural and human resources, as well as a strategic geographical location, to evolve into a significant economic hub for Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani stated that comprehensive plans and mechanisms have been established to rebuild Nineveh, enhance services, and drive development. The federal government, in collaboration with the local government, has prioritized implementing both faltering and new service projects to address the region’s needs.

Al-Sudani further noted that Nineveh is integrated into the government’s broader development road project, which includes four regions as part of the initiative. This strategic inclusion underscores the government’s commitment to leveraging Nineveh’s potential in contributing to Iraq’s overall economic growth.
