Prime Minister al-Sudani Orders Easier Processes for Contractors Amid Project Delays


Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani has issued directives to facilitate the work of contractors and address challenges obstructing project completion.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s media office released a statement revealing that Prime Minister al-Sudani met with Ali Fakher al-Sanafi, the Head of the Iraqi Contractors Union. The meeting underscored the government’s dedication to maintaining open lines of communication with unions and syndicates, recognizing them as pivotal stakeholders in evaluating union needs and formulating proposals to enhance union operations.



The statement highlighted al-Sudani’s call to action, which aims to streamline contractors’ work processes and resolve existing challenges to ensure projects are completed within the designated timelines. This initiative is part of the government’s overall strategy to bolster the private sector, thereby expediting project completion across various governorates.
