Prime Minister Al-Sudani Reaffirms Commitment to Education Sector During School Visit


Amara: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani visited Al-Wathba Primary School in the Al-Jadida area, Amara, where he completed his primary education. He toured the school’s corridors and met with the teaching staff, recalling the graduation of successive generations of the governorate’s children from it. He was also briefed on the most important needs and requirements of the school and the educational family in general in the school and the governorate.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani emphasized that the government is providing necessary attention to the education sector. This focus includes the construction of new school buildings and the restoration of existing ones. Over the past three years, the government has opened 1,943 new school buildings and restored more than 3,000 others throughout Iraq. The government is also working on completing additional projects and has adopted the EDOPA project to build schools in all governorates according to modern specifications.
