Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali al-Zubaidi announced the conclusion of his visit to Washington, expressing his gratitude to the administration of US President Donald Trump and the American people for their warm welcome.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Zubaidi stated in a post on the X platform, "As we conclude our visit to Washington and return to our beloved Baghdad, we express our deep gratitude to the administration of President Trump and the friendly American people for their warm welcome and appreciation."

He added, "We reaffirm our government's commitment to advancing the strategic economic partnership between our two friendly countries, strengthening mutual trust and a shared vision for the future, based on the agreements, memoranda of understanding, and cooperation agreements we have concluded. These will lead to a new phase of bilateral relations built on shared interests in various fields, and joint coordination to establish stability and prosperity in Iraq and the wider region."
