Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi met with the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to engage in discussions centered around bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation across several sectors. Both leaders underscored the significance of dialogue and diplomacy as key mechanisms for resolving crises.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s Media Office released a statement indicating that “Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi held official talks with His Highness the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, in the Qatari capital, Doha.” The meeting was marked by the Prime Minister extending his condolences to Sheikh Tamim on the passing of the late Emir, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, and expressing appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality extended to him.

Furthermore, Prime Minister al-Zaidi affirmed Iraq’s dedication to bolstering fraternal ties and cooperation with Qatar.
