Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi received an invitation from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi to visit Egypt on Thursday.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s Media Office issued a press release stating that Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi was visited by the head of the Egyptian General Intelligence Directorate, Hassan Mahmoud Rashad, who delivered a message from President el-Sisi. In his message, President el-Sisi highlighted the deep strategic relations between Iraq and Egypt and expressed his commitment to supporting efforts that align with the aspirations of both nations in all fields.

The message further included an invitation for Prime Minister al-Zaidi to visit Egypt, reflecting a mutual commitment to enhance cooperation between the two nations. This visit aims to preserve mutual interests and strengthen both regional and international peace and stability.

The meeting also focused on various issues of mutual concern, emphasizing the need for coordinated positions and the exchange of information and expertise. This coordination is intended to boost bilateral interests and serve the shared benefit of the two nations.
