Baghdad: Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi and Sheikh Humam Hamoudi, head of the Supreme Islamic Council of Iraq, have reaffirmed the necessity of meeting all conditions for the government's success in both domestic and international roles, while also bolstering its anti-corruption initiatives.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister's Media Office released a statement confirming the meeting between Prime Minister al-Zaidi and Sheikh Hamoudi. The discussion focused on the current political and economic situation, highlighting the importance of fulfilling essential requirements to ensure the government's effectiveness in its various responsibilities and pledging support for its anti-corruption efforts.

The statement further emphasized the need for joint efforts from all political and national entities to back the government's agenda, guided by the ministerial program. It also called for contributions towards launching service and development projects, alongside supporting measures to enhance national security and maintain Iraq's sovereignty.
