Prime Minister Inaugurates Transaction Automation Project in Notary Public’s Offices

Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani inaugurated the transaction automation project in the notary public’s offices via video link. This initiative encompasses the registration of agencies and transactions regulating legal actions, establishing rights, ensuring protection, and authenticating guarantees.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister’s media office released a statement highlighting his commendation for the technicians involved in the project. Despite being one of the delayed projects with only a 2% completion rate, it is expected to significantly facilitate work and reduce the pressure on the Ministry of Justice, a service ministry frequented by thousands of citizens in Baghdad and the governorates. The automation of transactions will enhance reliability through electronic processes, including reservations, fingerprint verification, fee payment, and document validity.

Al-Sudani reiterated the government’s dedication to administrative reform, digital transformation, and anti-corruption as part of the government program. He noted that digital processes would curb corruption, safeguard citizens’ property, and prevent forgery in legal and judicial transactions. The automation is also expected to simplify citizen reviews and boost credibility.

The Prime Minister urged the simplification of procedures and the efficient completion of citizen transactions, particularly those concerning rights. He highlighted the necessity of automating real estate registration as planned and encouraged service departments to reduce bureaucracy and eliminate red tape for visitors.
