Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al Sudani reiterated Iraq’s firm official and popular position regarding the crises facing brotherly Lebanon. His media office stated that Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al Sudani met with the Lebanese Ministers of Finance and Energy and Water, Yassin Jaber and Joe Saddi, on Monday.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, various aspects of cooperation between Iraq and Lebanon were reviewed during the meeting. The discussions focused on developing bilateral relations at all levels to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples and foster an economic partnership that enhances stability and sustainable development.
Al Sudani emphasized Iraq’s continued support and assistance to Lebanon in confronting challenges, especially the ongoing Zionist attacks and other threats to Lebanon’s security and sovereignty. The Lebanese delegation expressed its government’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Iraq as a key partner in supporting Lebanon and developing bilateral cooperation, particularly in communications and joint investment.
