According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Sudani praised Guterres' visit to Baghdad and his attendance at the Arab Summit, acknowledging his role in defending the rights of peoples, particularly the Palestinian people. Al-Sudani emphasized the importance of developing joint programs and projects between Iraq and the United Nations through its main agencies, highlighting their achievements in various fields. He also underscored the continuation of cooperation to advance development goals and confront challenges.
In response, the UN Secretary-General commended the organization of the Arab Summit in Baghdad and the capital's noticeable development in construction, reconstruction, and infrastructure over the past two years.
