Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani launched the first phase of the "Pulse of Mosul" project, targeting the reconstruction of Mosul's Old City alleys and neighborhoods. This initiative is modeled after the "Pulse of Baghdad" project, which aims to rehabilitate Baghdad's Old City.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Prime Minister's office highlighted the project's significance in reviving Mosul's heritage, aiming to transform the city into a key tourist destination while underscoring its historical and cultural importance.

The Prime Minister has instructed the formation of a committee led by the Governor of Nineveh to supervise the implementation, ensuring the involvement of specialized and reputable companies. These companies will focus on preserving heritage while meeting modern engineering and technical standards, guaranteeing a dignified reconstruction process.

The initial phase of the project involves the rehabilitation of Al-Farouq Street, a 2-kilometer stretch linking the riverfront to the core of the Old City, including landmarks like Al-Nouri Mosque and the Clock Church.
