Baghdad: Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani emphasized the urgency of speeding up the implementation of service and urban development projects in Salah al-Din Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Sudani made this statement during a meeting with a delegation of sheikhs and dignitaries from the Khazraj tribe, led by Sheikh Qais Jassim al-Khazraji, along with representatives from the Dhuluiya district in Salah al-Din Governorate. The head of the Sunni Endowment Diwan, Mishaan al-Khazraji, was also present at the meeting.

During the discussion, al-Sudani listened to the delegates’ proposals and suggestions and instructed that these be followed up to ensure the provision of essential services to citizens. This aligns with the priorities of the government program, which includes fast-tracking service and urban development projects in the governorate.

The Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the Khazraj tribe and other tribes for their role in fostering peaceful coexistence among different sects in the southern regions of Salah al-Din Governorate. He also acknowledged their efforts in combating terrorism, preventing sedition, and reinforcing the state’s authority and legal framework.

Al-Sudani highlighted the government’s initiatives to support farmers and agricultural workers as part of a broader vision to enhance the agricultural sector’s contribution to the national economy.

The tribal delegation commended the government’s infrastructure projects, especially those concerning the road network that connects their areas to Baghdad, as part of the broader national construction and reconstruction efforts.
