Baghdad: The spokesperson for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Sabah al-Nu'man, announced the complete success of the security and sovereignty-related matters discussed during Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi's visit to Washington. He emphasized that the Pentagon talks established a new historical framework that will transform relations into a sustainable bilateral partnership. He affirmed that this security achievement represents a solid foundation for building major economic and developmental partnerships for Iraq.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Nu'man stated in a press release to the official news agency: "We announce the complete success of the security and sovereignty-related matters discussed during Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi's visit and the accompanying high-level government delegation's visit to Washington."

He added that "the discussions led by the Prime Minister and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces achieved their intended sovereign and security objectives with high efficiency and competence." Al-Nu'man explained that "the round of dialogue at the Pentagon and other American institutions resulted in the formulation of a new historical framework for joint relations, officially and practically moving from the stage of international coalition and emergency crisis management to the realm of a sustainable bilateral security partnership based on mutual respect for comprehensive national sovereignty."

He noted that "the technical outcomes focused on qualitative empowerment plans for our valiant armed forces through enhancing advanced weaponry capabilities, specialized training, and advanced intelligence sharing, which ensures the sustainability of the honorable field achievements."

He pointed out that "this successful security harvest, achieved thanks to the resolute and responsible vision of the Prime Minister, represents the impregnable shield and solid foundation upon which the major economic and developmental partnerships concluded during the visit will be built, allowing Iraq to return to its natural position as a pivotal stabilizing force and a rising leader of prosperity and well-being in the entire region."
