Baghdad: The Central Criminal Court has issued two rulings against convicts affiliated with the deviant “Al-Qurban” group. The first convict, who holds deviant religious views, incited the second convict to commit suicide. He was sentenced to six years in prison pursuant to Article 9 of the Law Banning the Ba’ath Party, Entities, Parties, and Racist, Terrorist, and Takfiri Activities (Law No. 32 of 2016), with reference to Articles 47, 48, and 49 of the Penal Code,’ The Supreme Judicial Council-SJC said in a statement, received by the Iraqi News Agency-INA.

According to Iraqi News Agency, the same court also issued a second ruling sentencing the second convict to one year of simple detention, in accordance with Article 9 of the aforementioned law and Article 132/3 of the Penal Code, the statement added.
