Baghdad, The Iranian police announced that they had discovered two explosive devices in the capital, Tehran, and defused them, preventing a devastating explosion in the city.

A spokesman for the Internal Security Forces, Brigadier General Saeed Muntazer al-Mahdi, according to Fars News Agency, said that members of the intelligence forces received reports from citizens about the presence of two suspicious packages in one of the areas of Tehran, so they went to the place immediately.

The spokesman added: The vigilance of the search team, and timely neutralization to prevent an accident, would have resulted in injuries and significant material damage.

He pointed out: Efforts are being made to arrest the makers of these explosive devices./ End
