Baghdad: The Ministry of Oil has announced that the upcoming Baghdad International Energy Forum, scheduled for next September, will feature participation from prominent international organizations.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Oil confirmed that a variety of leading international agencies and institutions will attend the forum, highlighting its importance as a global platform for dialogue and strategic planning in the energy sector. The Ministry’s statement emphasized the participation of organizations renowned for their expertise in market analysis and energy policy formulation, such as the International Energy Forum (IEF) and the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF). Additional specialized analytical and economic institutions, including Argus, S and P Global Platts, Kepler, Energy Intelligence, and Energy Aspects, will also be present to provide market insights and information critical to decision-makers and investors globally.
The Ministry of Oil further noted that this involvement signifies the trust these specialized international institutions place in the forum’s dialogue and technical environment. It also underscores Iraq’s strategic positioning in the global energy landscape and its dedication to fostering collaboration with international partners in exploration, production, and sustainable energy policy development.
According to the statement, the Ministry of Oil, along with SOMO, confirmed that the forum will take place on September 6 and 7. It will feature high-level specialized sessions focusing on the future of oil and gas, energy transition, resource sustainability, energy security, and the integration of regional and international infrastructure and investment projects. The forum will welcome energy ministers, major company representatives, and experts worldwide.
The Ministry reiterated that the event symbolizes Iraq’s commitment to bridging the gap between producers and consumers, serving as a pivotal center for regional and international initiatives aimed at crafting a balanced and equitable shared vision for the future of global energy.
