Baghdad: The head of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate, Mu'ayyad Al-Lami, and the Japanese Chargé d'Affaires, Yokotakenji, have engaged in discussions aimed at fostering media and cultural cooperation between Iraq and Japan. Their talks focused on enhancing bilateral relations in a manner beneficial to both nations. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting took place at the headquarters of the Iraqi Journalists Syndicate. Yokotakenji expressed admiration for the syndicate's development and its global recognition, noting its impressive infrastructure that supports the Iraqi journalistic community. In response, Al-Lami provided an overview of the syndicate's work, highlighting its commitment to press freedom and creating a safe environment for journalistic activities in Iraq. Al-Lami extended an invitation to Japanese journalists to visit Iraq to witness the ongoing construction, reconstruction, and the economic and security stability in the country. He also encouraged Japanese companies to consider investing in Iraq, citing the nation as a promising opportunity for investment.
