Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin and Omani Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said expressed their deep concern over the situation in Gaza and called for a full withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Palestinian territories.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a joint statement at the conclusion of the Russian-Omani talks in the Kremlin read: “The two leaders expressed their deep concern over the tragic situation in the Gaza Strip and affirmed their support for international efforts aimed at achieving an immediate and permanent ceasefire, ensuring the delivery of urgent humanitarian aid to civilians, launching reconstruction operations, and allowing the return of temporarily displaced persons. They also stressed the need for a full withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Gaza Strip and all occupied Palestinian territories.”
The Russian President and the Sultan of Oman emphasized the importance of reaching a just settlement to the Palestinian issue that considers the interests of the Palestinian people.
