Putin Meets Iranian Foreign Minister Araghchi, Condemns US Aggression Against Iran


Moscow: President Vladimir Putin emphasized that the provocative aggression against Iran lacks justification or excuse during a meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi in Moscow. Putin reiterated Russia’s well-known position on the escalating tension between Iran and Israel, as reflected in a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Putin affirmed that Russia is actively making efforts to assist the Iranian people amidst the current tensions. He highlighted that the Iranian Foreign Minister’s visit provides an opportunity to explore potential resolutions to the ongoing situation in the Middle East.



Araghchi, representing Iran, declared that Tehran views the actions of the United States and Israel as illegitimate, asserting Iran’s right to self-defense. He attributed the rising tension in the Middle East to the actions of Israel and the United States against Iran. Araghchi also conveyed his country’s gratitude to Russia for its condemnation of these actions.
