Russian President Vladimir Putin affirmed that Russian-Chinese cooperation on the global stage will contribute to strengthening the principles of multipolarity, expressing confidence in Beijing’s ability to achieve a major breakthrough under the current leadership.

Putin added that his country has taken several steps to enhance cooperation with China, explaining that trade exchange between the two countries has doubled.

For his part, Chinese President Xi Jinping said that the global situation requires us to increase partnership with Russia, explaining that his country seeks to strengthen its partnership with Moscow as partners.

He added, during his meeting with the Russian President in Moscow, that the strength of the relationship between the two countries prompted him to visit Moscow in his first foreign visit after his re-election, expressing his appreciation for the Russian support for China.
