Baghdad: The Prime Minister of Iraq, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, and the Qatari Minister of Transport, Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Thani, have jointly affirmed their commitment to the continuation of the Strategic Development Road project.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Prime Minister’s Media Office highlighted a recent meeting between the two officials, during which they reviewed and discussed the cooperation relations between Qatar and Iraq. The discussions focused on supporting and enhancing partnerships and investment in the transportation, transport, and ports sectors. A significant portion of the talks was dedicated to the continuation of the Strategic Development Road project and identifying opportunities to create integrated projects alongside the road to bolster economic development.

Furthermore, the statement noted that the meeting also covered the development of cooperation in public transportation management, ports, and airports. The officials explored opportunities to advance the air transport sector, aiming to stimulate transportation and exchange across different levels and fields.
