Doha:The Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed ongoing mediation efforts between the United States and Iran, aimed at resolving their current crisis and mitigating regional risks. The ministry’s spokesperson highlighted the commitment of both parties to the negotiation process.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Washington and Tehran are currently reviewing proposals designed to facilitate a potential agreement. These proposals are intended to create favorable conditions for negotiations, with both sides showing a dedication to the process.

The spokesperson also emphasized the high level of coordination among regional leaders to find a peaceful resolution and prevent escalation. Qatar is actively collaborating with regional partners and the global community to resolve the crisis. Furthermore, the spokesperson underscored the importance of freedom of navigation, rejecting any threats to Qatari or other tankers.

Qatar’s efforts are directed towards achieving an agreement that would build trust and enhance peace and stability in the region.
