According to National Iraqi News Agency, the operation was initiated following precise intelligence that led to the formation of a specialized working group under the leadership of the Director of the Anbar Narcotics Affairs Directorate. The investigation involved an individual previously apprehended in connection with drug-related activities. This individual's cooperation and guidance were instrumental in the preemptive operation that resulted in the confiscation of a quarter of a million Captagon pills.
