Qazaniya: Director of Qazaniya District in Diyala Governorate Yahya Qanbar announced today, Saturday, the arrival of a wave of floods from Iranian lands to the Iraqi border lands. Qanbar stated that the early hours of today saw a significant influx of floodwaters from Iranian territories into the eastern border areas of Diyala Governorate, specifically impacting the outskirts of Qazaniya District and Mandali District.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Qanbar highlighted that the most affected area by the floodwaters is Wadi Al-Kalal, also known as the Great Tarsaq Valley. He noted that despite the heavy rains and storms that have occurred in recent hours, there have been no reports of material or human damage in the border areas.

It is significant to mention that the Iranian floodwaters have penetrated more than five border valleys within Iraqi territories. These valleys include Al-Naft, Lima, Tahlaw, Muwailih, and Tarsaq.
