Baghdad The President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, received today, Sunday in Baghdad, the Head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Bafel Talabani.

A presidential statement said that positive government steps were discussed and the need to support them in implementing its service program, in a way that achieves the ambition of all Iraqis.

The meeting also included a discussion of the visits of delegations that came from Kurdistan to Baghdad to discuss the outstanding issues between the federal government and the Kurdistan region.

It was stressed the need to expedite the resolution of these issues through constructive dialogue and to reach solutions in accordance with the constitution and the law, and to work to guarantee the rights of all citizens and achieve their aspirations for a dignified, safe and stable life by improving living and service conditions.
