Bashiqa: Reconstruction work has begun in the Bashiqa district, including a campaign to rehabilitate 20 schools and restore parks and service facilities. The Director of Mosul Municipalities, Raad al-Hadidi, announced the launch of reconstruction and service projects in the Bashiqa district as part of a comprehensive plan to improve public services and focus government efforts on districts and sub-districts that require additional infrastructure support.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, al-Hadidi stated that the campaign includes the implementation of several service projects, including road maintenance, improving municipal services, and addressing the educational situation in the district. The initiative involves reconstructing and rehabilitating approximately 20 schools and constructing new schools to reduce overcrowding in classrooms.
The service plan also incorporates the rehabilitation of public parks and recreational facilities within Bashiqa. Efforts are being made to support the return of markets, malls, and shops in the district, which is expected to contribute to revitalizing the economy and providing a better service environment for the residents.
Al-Hadidi emphasized that the Mosul Municipalities Directorate is committed to implementing service projects in various areas of Nineveh Governorate. The goal is to improve the level of services, enhance stability, and support reconstruction efforts in cities and sub-districts.
