Baghdad: The Forensic Medicine Department of the Ministry of Health announced the handover of the remains of 20 martyrs from the victims of the Badoush Prison massacre, committed by ISIS terrorist gangs during their control of Nineveh Governorate, after the completion of genetic matching.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, these remains represent the fourth batch of identified remains, bringing the number of martyrs whose remains have been matched and officially handed over to 171. The Ministry of Health confirmed the continuation of technical and humanitarian work on this file, as preparations are underway to announce new batches soon, as part of a comprehensive plan aimed at fully closing the Badoush Prison massacre file and ensuring the rights and redress of the victims’ families.

The remains of the martyrs were handed over with special facilities, including delivering the bodies to the governorates where their families reside, namely: Baghdad, Najaf, Babylon, Karbala, Dhi Qar, Salah al-Din, and Basra.
