Baghdad: The Representative of the Supreme Religious Authority, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi al-Karbalai, emphasized that the ongoing conflict in Gaza is a matter of global concern, transcending geographical boundaries and affecting all those who uphold the values of dignity and justice. He declared, “We are all concerned with this conflict, and we are not immune to it.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Sheikh Abdul-Mahdi al-Karbalai delivered these remarks during the Fourth International Al-Aqsa Call Conference, hosted by the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein. The event attracted religious, academic, and media figures from various Arab and Islamic nations, all gathered in support of those suffering in Gaza, Jerusalem, and the West Bank.

He expressed gratitude to the delegations for overcoming challenges to attend the conference, highlighting the significance of their presence and support. “We must activate our minds, hearts, and consciences,” he urged, emphasizing the need to heed the voices calling from Gaza and Al-Aqsa, appealing to the collective conscience of the global community.

Sheikh al-Karbalai clarified that the conflict is not confined to Gaza or the West Bank but represents a broader struggle between humanitarian values and oppressive forces. This conflict, he noted, is relevant to every land striving for dignity and justice. He warned that ignoring the conflict is a grave error, as it threatens fundamental values and future generations.

Furthermore, he highlighted the resilience and sacrifices of those in Gaza as a divine victory that demands support, whether through words, prayers, or awareness. “Victory is not measured solely by weapons, but by will, dignity, and honesty with God,” he concluded.
