Amman:Researchers have devised a method to use old Android smartphones as computing units to control bipedal robots, potentially lowering development costs.
According to Iraqi News Agency, This innovative approach utilizes the processors of older phones to run control algorithms and process data, enabling robots to walk, track people, and maintain balance after stumbling.
Repurposing these devices could also help reduce electronic waste while providing low-cost computing solutions. However, challenges such as power consumption, operational efficiency, and connectivity between devices remain.
