Tehran: The Iranian Revolutionary Guards announced a successful operation today, targeting terrorist elements in southeastern Iran. The operations took place in the cities of Iranshahr, Khash, and Saravan, all located within the Sistan and Baluchestan Province.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Quds Command Center of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Ground Force confirmed that the joint operations commenced early Wednesday morning. The operations resulted in the elimination of several terrorists and the arrest of others. These actions were part of coordinated efforts against groups identified as terrorist elements.
A spokesman for Iran's Internal Security Forces, Faraja, detailed the operation's outcomes. He stated that eight terrorists, involved in the murder of police officers at the Damen Police Station, were killed in Iranshahr. The operation also led to the seizure of weapons and ammunition, some of which were originally taken from the Damen Police Station.
Major General Qasem Rezaei, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Iran's Internal Security Forces, commented on the operations. He highlighted the operational readiness and intelligence control exercised by the Border Guards. Rezaei affirmed the commitment of the Border Guards to maintaining security and preventing any breaches along Iran's borders.
