Riyadh: Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan received a phone call from his US counterpart, Marco Rubio, on Sunday to discuss bilateral relations and regional and international developments. During the call, Rubio affirmed the United States’ commitment to supporting the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the two ministers also discussed the situations in Syria and Sudan, as well as efforts to secure the release of detainees in Gaza and meet urgent humanitarian needs. The statement indicated that the discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the two countries and supporting joint efforts to achieve stability in the region.
