Moscow: Russia and China affirmed their support for stability in the Middle East and emphasized the need to reach a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue. The Kremlin released a joint statement by the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory in the Great Patriotic War, China’s victory in the War of Resistance, and the founding of the United Nations.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement highlighted the two countries’ commitment to deepening their comprehensive partnership and strategic interaction in the new era. It underscored that the security of states should not come at the expense of the security of others. Moscow and Beijing urged global adherence to the principle of equal and indivisible security, advocating for the peaceful resolution of disputes and the establishment of a comprehensive and sustainable global security system.
The statement also emphasized the importance of preserving the historical memory of World War II and supporting stability in the Middle East. It stressed the necessity of achieving a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian issue and respecting Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, while rejecting terrorism in all its forms.
