Russia Claims Heavy Ukrainian Losses and Tactical Gains in Donetsk and Kharkiv

Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday that its forces had killed 890 Ukrainian soldiers and downed 202 drones over the past 24 hours.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry stated that Russian forces are nearing complete control over the town of Kirovsk in the Donetsk region and are improving their tactical positions in Kupyansk, located in the Kharkiv region. The ministry highlighted that Russian troops targeted Ukrainian army positions in 136 areas along the frontlines, resulting in the destruction of numerous combat vehicles, cars, artillery pieces, ammunition depots, and electronic warfare systems.

The statement also detailed that Russian tactical aviation, attack drones, missile forces, and artillery struck a power substation that supplies Ukraine's military and industrial complex. Additionally, they targeted storage and launch sites for long-range drones.

The ministry further confirmed that the Black Sea Fleet successfully destroyed two Ukrainian landing boats carrying troops in the northwest region of the Black Sea.
