Russia Intercepts Over 180 Ukrainian Drones in Overnight Defense Operations


Moscow: Russia’s air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed more than 180 Ukrainian drones overnight, according to multiple regional reports. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced early Tuesday morning that a drone targeting the Russian capital had been neutralized, marking the second such incident in 24 hours. Emergency teams were deployed to the crash site, with no casualties reported.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, authorities in the Tula region, located south of Moscow, confirmed the destruction of four Ukrainian drones overnight, with no human or material damage incurred. In the Voronezh region, Governor Alexander Gusev stated that air defenses effectively downed several drones in two separate areas.



Further south, in the Volgograd region, Russian air defenses thwarted another drone attack. Explosives teams are currently managing the situation at the crash site to ensure safety and assess any potential threats.



The Russian Ministry of Defense has declared that the comprehensive overnight operation resulted in the interception and destruction of 184 Ukrainian drones across several regions, emphasizing the effectiveness of Russia’s air defense capabilities.
