Moscow: Russia has announced its readiness to send a delegation to Istanbul, Turkey, to engage in renewed negotiations with Ukraine aimed at establishing a peace agreement to end the ongoing conflict, which has persisted for nearly three years.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Maria Zakharova, the official spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, revealed in press statements that the Russian delegation is prepared to arrive in Istanbul after June 22 to continue talks with Kyiv. Zakharova outlined that during the forthcoming third round of negotiations, the Russian side plans to exchange comments on the memoranda previously submitted by both parties on May 28 and June 2, which contain proposals intended to resolve the Ukrainian crisis.

Zakharova noted that the “serious implementation of the Istanbul agreements by Russia has sparked a wave of anger in Kyiv.” The city of Istanbul has already hosted two rounds of peace negotiations between Russia and Ukraine, which aim to make significant progress towards ending the conflict. The prior discussions culminated in an agreement to exchange 2,000 prisoners between the two nations.
