Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced today that 158 Ukrainian drones were shot down over 13 Russian regions overnight.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry stated that the interceptions occurred between 20:00 Moscow time on April 8 and 06:00 Moscow time on April 9. Air defense systems on duty were responsible for intercepting and destroying the drones.
The largest number of drones, 67, were downed over the Krasnodar Territory. This was followed by 29 drones intercepted over Rostov Oblast. Additionally, 15 drones were destroyed over the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, 11 over the Voronezh Oblast, and 10 over the Kursk Oblast.
Further details revealed that five drones were destroyed over the Belgorod Oblast, three over the Republic of Crimea, and two over the Penza Oblast. One drone each was downed over the Saratov and Oryol Oblasts, and one over the Stavropol Oblast. Moreover, seven drones were intercepted over the Sea of Azov, and six over the Black Sea basin.
