Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that its air defense systems intercepted 21 Ukrainian drones overnight over several regions of the country.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry said in a statement: “Last night, air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 21 Ukrainian drones.” The ministry further elaborated on the locations of these interceptions, stating that seven drones were destroyed over Smolensk Oblast and six over Bryansk Oblast.
The statement also detailed that three drones were intercepted over Oryol Oblast and another three over Moscow Oblast, with two of these reportedly heading towards the capital city, Moscow. Additionally, one drone was destroyed over Kaluga Oblast, and another over Tver Oblast, showcasing the widespread nature of these incidents.
