Moscow: The Russian Defense Ministry announced today that its air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 48 Ukrainian drones overnight.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry issued a statement detailing the breakdown of the drone interceptions across various regions. The statement specified that 21 drones were destroyed over the Tver region, and 11 were intercepted over the Republic of Crimea. Additionally, 5 drones were neutralized over the Bryansk region.

The defense systems also targeted 3 drones each over the Belgorod and Rostov regions. In the Smolensk and Lipetsk regions, 2 drones each were successfully intercepted. The Kursk region saw the interception of one drone during the overnight operations.

The announcement highlights ongoing tensions and engagements between Russian and Ukrainian forces, with drone activity being a significant aspect of the current conflict.
