Baghdad: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday that its air defense systems intercepted and shot down 16 Ukrainian drones over three Russian regions in just three hours.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry stated that between 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM Moscow time, air defense systems successfully downed 16 Ukrainian drones over three regions in Russia.

The Ministry added in its statement: “On November 16, between 2:00 and 5:00 PM Moscow time, operational air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 16 Ukrainian drones: seven enemy drones were destroyed while flying over the Kursk region, five over the Bryansk region, and four over the Belgorod region.”
