Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense reported today, Monday, that its air defense systems destroyed 22 Ukrainian drones over Russian territory last night.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement from the Ministry detailed that 16 drones were intercepted over the territory of Oryol Province, three over Bryansk Province, and two over Ryazan Province. Additionally, one drone was destroyed over the Republic of Crimea.

The incident underscores ongoing tensions in the region, with both countries continuing to engage in military operations. The Russian Ministry of Defense has emphasized the effectiveness of its air defense systems in protecting its airspace from such incursions.
