Moscow: Russian air defenses shot down 45 Ukrainian drones last night over the country’s southwestern provinces.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Russian Ministry of Defense detailed the interception, noting that the drones were downed in various oblasts. Specifically, 27 drones were intercepted in Kursk Oblast, 16 in Belgorod Oblast, one in Rostov Oblast, and one in Lipetsk Oblast.
The ongoing conflict has seen Ukrainian forces continue to target border areas in southwestern Russia with drones and missiles on an almost daily basis, highlighting the tense situation in the region.
