Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that its air defense systems successfully shot down 162 Ukrainian drones over several Russian provinces last night.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry reported that the interceptions occurred between 20:10 Moscow time on June 1 and 02:00 on June 2. The operations involved the destruction of drones in various regions.

The ministry specified that 57 drones were downed over the Kursk Region, 31 over Belgorod Region, 27 over Lipetsk Region, 16 over Voronezh Region, and 11 over Bryansk Region. Furthermore, 11 drones were intercepted over Ryazan Region, six over Oryol Region, two over the Republic of Crimea, and one over Tambov Region.
