Moscow: The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) has arrested two individuals in Moscow, identified as agents recruited by Moldovan intelligence. According to their confessions, the duo was assigned to execute missions that posed a threat to Russia’s security. These individuals now face the possibility of up to eight years in prison.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the FSB issued a statement highlighting the successful disruption of the clandestine activities orchestrated by the Moldovan special services. The FSB’s intervention prevented the execution of operations that could have been detrimental to Russia’s national interests.

The statement further detailed that the two Moldovan nationals entered Moscow using forged identity documents. Their mission was sanctioned by the Security and Information Service of the Republic of Moldova, commonly known as Moldovan Intelligence and Counterintelligence, with directives explicitly aimed against the security apparatus of the Russian Federation.
