Moscow: Russian air defense systems intercepted 94 Ukrainian drones over several regions overnight, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Friday.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry stated that the interceptions occurred over multiple areas, with 36 drones intercepted over Rostov Oblast, 17 over Belgorod Oblast, and 15 over Voronezh Oblast. Additionally, 7 drones were intercepted over the Caspian Sea, 6 each over Samara and Astrakhan Oblasts, 5 over the Sea of Azov, and one each over Kursk Oblast and Krasnodar Krai.
The Russian Ministry of Defense's announcement highlights the scale of the aerial operations conducted to neutralize the drones in these regions. The incident underscores ongoing tensions and active engagements between Russian and Ukrainian forces in the area.
