Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Wednesday that more than 170 Ukrainian soldiers were killed or wounded on the Kursk front over the past 24 hours. The statement highlighted ongoing military engagements as Russian forces continue to counter the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attempts to advance in the Russian Kursk region.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the ministry reported that units of the Northern Group forces have successfully taken control of key lines and positions throughout most of the area. These operations have targeted forces from three Ukrainian assault brigades, significantly impacting their capacity to sustain an offensive.
The statement further revealed that since operations began in the Kursk direction, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have suffered losses totaling more than 75,710 soldiers. This figure underscores the intensity and scale of the ongoing conflict in the region.
