Moscow: The Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Monday that its air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 69 Ukrainian drones in an overnight operation across eight Russian regions.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry detailed the operation’s outcomes, stating that 28 drones were neutralized over the Kursk region, while an additional 27 were intercepted over the Bryansk region. The Belgorod region saw five drones destroyed, Tula region accounted for three, and both the Oryol and Kaluga regions had two drones each intercepted. The Astrakhan and Voronezh regions saw one drone destroyed in each location.
The Ministry of Defense’s statement underscores the ongoing tensions and the complex dynamics of the regional security landscape, as drone activity and defense responses continue to play out across multiple territories.
