Saadoun Shafiq Saeed’s New Novel Explores Inner Conflict and Identity

Baghdad: “The Pain of Bewilderment” is the latest novel by Saadoun Shafiq Saeed. The General Union of Writers and Authors in Iraq has published this new work, which seeks to contribute to the enrichment of the Arabic library with contemporary narrative publications.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the novel centers on the character Saad, who is grappling with conflicting thoughts and a sense of being lost. Saad is torn between a longing for the past and a fear of the future, a struggle that forms the crux of the narrative.

The plot thickens as Saad becomes enamored with a mysterious woman named Bewilderment, driving the exploration of themes such as identity, memory, and the quest for life’s meaning. The novel invites readers to delve into the psyche of the protagonist, challenging them to reflect on the nature of reality and imagination.
