Sadiqun Bloc Demands Humanitarian Corridors Amidst Tensions

Baghdad: The Sadiqun parliamentary bloc has issued a strong condemnation against what it describes as blatant aggression towards the Islamic Republic, directly attributing responsibility to the American administration and Israel for any ensuing repercussions.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the head of the Sadiqun bloc, MP Uday Awad, addressed a press conference early Sunday morning, where he praised the Iranian populace for their commitment to national unity and support for their new leadership. Awad emphasized that this unity serves as a formidable defense against external conspiracies.

Awad further called upon the Iraqi government and parliament to adopt an official stance against the aggression, advocating for the establishment of humanitarian corridors and the provision of comprehensive support to Iran. He also urged organizations such as the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, along with other regional and international bodies, to fulfill their moral and humanitarian obligations. Awad stressed the importance of working towards an immediate cessation of hostilities and seeking a just political resolution to the Iranian nuclear issue, avoiding the use of force and dominance.
