Sadiqun Movement Urges State of Law Coalition to Moderate Rhetoric for Unity

Baghdad: The Sadiqun Movement, led by Sheikh Qais al-Khazali, has called on the leaders of the State of Law Coalition to moderate the rhetoric coming from their affiliated entities in order to preserve the unity of the coordination framework.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Sadiqun Movement issued a statement emphasizing its commitment to political unity and the importance of maintaining a responsible public discourse. The Movement has been monitoring the statements and positions from figures and platforms associated with the State of Law Coalition, which have led to significant controversy and have, at times, strayed from the necessary responsible approach given the current sensitive political situation.

The Movement acknowledged that differing political viewpoints, especially concerning the nomination of a prime minister, are a natural and legitimate part of political life. However, it stressed the importance of maintaining these differences within ethical and legal boundaries, warning against unfounded accusations and political character attacks.

Furthermore, the Sadiqun Movement urged the State of Law Coalition leaders to put in more effort to control the rhetoric from their affiliates, ensuring it aligns with the goal of preserving coordination framework unity and building mutual trust among political partners.

The Movement also advised its supporters and followers to avoid falling into escalation or provocation traps and to be wary of the potential negative consequences that could benefit those who do not wish for Iraq’s stability or the cohesion of its national forces.

The statement concluded by reaffirming the Sadiqun Movement’s dedication to responsible dialogue, respect for diverse opinions, and collaborative efforts aimed at serving Iraq’s best interests and protecting the unity of the national stance during this crucial period.
